The Ethiopian Association in the Greater Toronto Area and Surrounding Regions provides social service programs to people of Ethiopian origin.
Services
1. SETTLEMENT SERVICES:
Information & orientation
Interpretation & translation services
General counselling (Family, Immigration, Legal)
Assistance in finding Housing and shelter
Referrals (training, education, employment etc.)
2. LANGUAGE INSTRUCTION FOR NEWCOMERS TO CANADA (LINC)
Computer-assisted English Language Training (Literacy to Level 4/5).
School trips, support letters to Social Service Agencies, summer school program (for ages 5-12).
Childminding for children (6 months to 5 years old) of LINC Students & Token Support for those who qualify.
We have 5 well trained teachers, 4 childminders, an outreach worker and a coordinator.

Training in successful interview techniques and presentation skills
