Royal Ottawa Place, a long-term care centre, is a 64 bed, three storey residential style home linked to the Royal Ottawa Hospital which officially began admitting residents on June 14, 2004. The mission of the long-term care centre is to provide resident-centred, long-term care for individuals who have persistent but stable mental illness associated with behavioural and safety issues and who would benefit from a mental health focused environment.
