Refus scolaire (et phobie de l’école)
Le refus scolaire est quand un enfant refuse d'aller à l'école et cela peut se présenter pour différentes raisons. L'enfant peut avoir des problèmes d'anxiété (telle l'anxiété reliée à la séparation des parents) ou peut essayer activement d'éviter du stress par rapport à l'école (problème avec ses pairs, comme des intimidations ou un conflit; ou démontrant une difficulté d'apprentissage qui rend le travail scolaire difficile et stressant. Avec des enfants plus âgés, il peut s'agir d'absentéisme scolaire (ilsmanquent l'école délibérément).Les premières démarches à effectuer quand l'enfant refuse d'aller à l'école est d'en discuter avec l'école, et/ou voir son médecin de famille ou pédiatre pour des suggestions supplémentaires. De l'aide plus spécialisée pourrait inclure voir un psychologue, un conseiller ou un professionnel en santé mentale.
