Researchers from York University and the University of Victoria are conducting an online study to determine the impacts of COVID-19 on the brain and thinking abilities. We invite individuals who have (a) received a diagnosis of COVID-19 at least 3 months prior and (b) who have not received a COVID-19 diagnosis or have ever been suspected to have had COVID-19 to participate. The aim of this study is to investigate whether COVID-19 influences specific thinking abilities, and whether there are any risk and protective factors that further influence COVID-19 outcomes.

Participants will complete two sessions, ranging from 45 minutes to 60 minutes each, which will include a set of online surveys as well as a Zoom-based assessment with a researcher. Individuals aged 19 or older who are currently living in British Columbia or Ontario, Canada may be eligible to participate. Participants will receive a $40 gift card for their involvement in helping us to answer our questions. Please visit t.ly/uPFk to learn what is expected in this study. To participate, contact us at covid_cog_study@uvic.ca (BC residents) or c3lab@yorku.ca (ON residents).

This study has been approved by York University and University of Victoria’s respective Research Ethics Boards (REB #2021-368; REB #21-0362).
